Evidence Pack
Definition
A curated collection of compliance evidence, documentation, and records assembled to demonstrate conformance to a specific requirement, support a specific decision, or respond to a specific audit query. Evidence packs aggregate related documents from across the asset integrity management system into a coherent, reviewable package.
Context
In Reliatic, evidence packs are assembled from the audit trail, inspection records, RBI assessments, and governance events. They are used for regulatory audit preparation, risk acceptance documentation, turnaround scope justification, and insurance submissions. The report generation module can produce evidence packs as formatted documents.
Examples
- An evidence pack for an insurance assessment includes: the complete RBI assessment, the latest 3 inspection reports, FFS evaluations, the corrosion rate trend, and the maintenance history for each insured pressure vessel.
- An evidence pack for an inspection deferral includes: the original inspection plan, the deferral request, the engineering justification, the FFS assessment, the compensating measures, and the approval record.
Applicable Standards
- ISO 55001:2014
Related Terms
Documentary proof that an organization's practices conform to applicable regulatory requirements, industry standards, or internal procedures. Compliance evidence includes inspection records, test certificates, calibration records, training records, approval documents, audit reports, and any other documentation that demonstrates conformance to a specific requirement.
Audit TrailA chronological record of system activities, decisions, and data changes that provides documentary evidence of the sequence of events that have affected a specific operation, procedure, or artifact. In asset integrity management, the audit trail records who made what change, when, why, and with what authorization, creating an unbroken chain of evidence for regulatory compliance and forensic investigation.
Governance EventA discrete, auditable event in the lifecycle of a governed artifact (asset, risk, MOC, inspection) that records a decision, approval, status change, or significant action. Governance events capture who did what, when, why, and with what authorization. They form the backbone of the audit trail and provide the evidence chain for regulatory compliance.
